A technician may know which options would help a homeowner and still hesitate to build them. Every extra option can mean more equipment matching, pricing, services, and financing work while the customer waits.
That was the starting point for our September 24 ServiceTitan Hacks webinar with host Bill Brown, SetSale cofounder Seth Ure, and Cody Brasseal of Acadiana Comfort. The conversation explored where quoting slows down, followed by a live demonstration of a four-option proposal in SetSale.
The cost of a quote that takes too long
Cody described straightforward quotes that could take 20 to 25 minutes to build, with unusual jobs taking longer. He also explained how much of that process depended on knowledge he held himself, making it difficult to hand off consistently.
The consequence reaches beyond the time spent entering a quote. A complicated quoting process can make the simplest option the easiest one to offer. Building a fuller comparison takes time away from asking questions, explaining the choices, and helping the homeowner think through the decision.
How much of the visit does your quoting process leave for the conversation?
Watch a four-option proposal come together
The live demo starts around 38:30. Seth builds a proposal in a demo account, then walks through equipment, services, upgrades, warranties, and financing.
Around 40:34, the four-option proposal is on screen. From there, the walkthrough shows how quote rules can carry services into the options, how upgrades can differ by tier, and how pricing calculations can be reviewed.

At roughly 44:20, the discussion moves into the homeowner presentation: comparing options, reviewing upgrades, choosing a payment method, and confirming the order. The useful connection is between the contractor's quote setup and the experience the homeowner receives.
Bring the discussion back to your team
Try reviewing one recent proposal together:
- Which options would you like your team to present consistently?
- Which services or upgrades are repeatedly added by hand?
- Can the homeowner understand the differences between tiers?
- How much time remains to discuss the choices after the quote is built?
The replay gives you a concrete workflow to compare with your own, from equipment selection through the customer's checkout.
